It certainly is! So big in fact that the support towers are further apart at the top than they are at the bottom, due to the curvature of the earth :)

    Thank you

a lot of the sharpness has gone in posting

Try resizing image to 1200 along the longest edge and file size around 250kb same for facebook it doesn't get compressed then especially facebook there software really does compress high pixel images and destroys them

I'm in 2 minds as whether to go for a mirrorless camera next

Ive tried some of the mirrorless range namely the R6 and R6 mk2 and wasn't too impressed comparing it against my older 1dx2 it couldn't match the share speed of getting focus locked on and keeping it tracking as accurately. If i where to compare it against the old 6D which i had many moons ago then yes its good. i was looking to get a mirrorless but it couldnt offer me anything that my old 1dx2 was giving me, so i borrowed a friends 1dx3 and that is marginally better but the cost of several new cards, new card reader and around £2000 more than i spent on the newer 1dx2 (was a bargain at £1500 with the mint condition and extremely low shutter under 11000} i couldn't justify it and probably the 1dx3 would have swallowed my whole budget as im ordering  a canon 24-70mm f2.8 mk2 next week thats going to be into 4 figures add new tripod and backpack as well. So the 24-70 will live on the older 1dx2 and only used in single shot mode for walkabout and landscapes and newer one take my 100-400mm and 1,4x for wildlife and aviation. They should see me out lol as ive not yet reached the point where they cannot provide what i want from them and dont see that day coming either

  4. Arrived this morning in as new condition with only 11000 clicks this one will now partner my other one that has 369000 clicks so newer one will carry large lens and older one will hace a 24-70 coming next week. Just need to finish my treatment at the hospital and hopefully alls well i will be out in a couple months a lot more than the last 6 months.

Well ....that's impressive  especially given the circumstances Monkey .. I am pretty useless at night time photography  !

My first go at night time photography and as said many lessons learnt it was black up there couldn't see the ground 4feet in front of me focusing proved an issue i would expect a 17mm lens on full frame even at f4 to have massive depth of field and cant make my mind up if the foreground is out of focus or too much blur from hand holding . But i wont give up it was a starting point and hopefully i will be getting a 24-70 f2.8 in a few months to play with as would like to do more night photography
