Thank you it’s only really decent shot I’ve got of this area, have tried a few times but the others just seemed a bit bland so to speak even on occasions I’ve tried shooting from the other side of the road bridge behind me looking thru all the bridges to get a shot but not happy with them, ps there are 3 bridges here inc this one there is the middle one I’m stood on to take this image and the current road one behind me A470

Thanks, we took the rather longer way up up from Borrowdale roughly 16 mile round trip and it was hard work I was proper shattered when I got back to tent, This visit was 2017 but we have been up Scaffell again 2018 and in the area hiking several times since last time in Borrowdale was July this year. And yes you do have to be well prepared whenever you go up the mountains good quality hiking boots, clothing, waterproofs and map systems especially as I do like to get off the beaten tracks and away from other people lol especially Peak District and Wales when plane spotting, your definitely correct weather changes very fast up high and mountains do create their own mini climate

Hoping this works. My shots yesterday as a Gull hunting its prey you can see in the sequence how it keeps its eye locked on its prey, Damned hard tracking them as they dive there lightning quick once they decide to drop

Thank you, Mildenhall along with RAF Brize Norton have all sorts flying in and out 24/7 and the 4 Ospreys based here in the UK are at Mildenhall The USAF dont mind even like spotters around there bases as long as they behave and dont climb up fences or prop ladders on them as for mildenhan its well worth a visit i do camp there for 3 days and flit between there and Lakenheath just a few miles waay i stop in a spot known as "Johns field" he has room for half a dozem or so campers caravans tents etc he is right next to the fence and has a large low loadwe trailer decked out for spotters to get on and see over fence there are toilets etc charges £2 per day visits just drop it in honesty box with car reg on envelope or aabout £6 per night for a tent. Havent camped since covid but have had several day visits usually go to Lakenheath till about 3 in afternoon then over to Mildenhall for a few afternoon/evening hours then chippy then home tis a long day but always busy and easy to

Pre Covid visit. RAF Mildenhall used by the USAF a selection of some of the daily traffic ranging from fuel tanker Hercules Osprey Rivet Joint (black and grey) 747 and the awesome C5 Galaxy now the largest plane in the world
