Glad you are back.......Missed your fun

off topic!!!! (where's the smiley gone?
I'm trying to rescue greens in an image...... is it the sensor or my lack of skills?
Just trying to explain the advantages of using RAW files
-
Not a very good image, It was a first at trying out the new TZ60 and badly under exposed
I know a lot of us keep batting on about RAW but with even a few simple adjustments (I use LR5) I can get from this
to This
Just a Crop, add exposure, touch contrast, lift the blacks, add Clarity & touch Vibrance, Sharpen & Mask.

Brilliant!!! Fuzzy.....Missed this somehow, what with all the changes
-
Had a bit of a fiddle today
1# using Panorama in Camera Puts out a Jpeg
2# 4 x RAW tickled in LR and stitched in PSE13

What colour is your lens, Barbara - when I got home the box had Silver written on it (I'd asked for black) but when I opened it the body was black and the lens was metal (silver!).
All black Judy

Tina, Here is a shot of the barcode on my TZ60 It had me a bit confused to start with but I did find a site with both models K and S as Chris says, One black and one with mettalic trim
Here it is on the Currys Site, Black model at the top of Page and if you scroll down to bottom of page the TZ60 EB-S is there http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/cameras/digital-cameras/compact-digital-cameras/panasonic-dmc-tz60eb-k-superzoom-compact-digital-camera-black-22001900-pdt.html?srcid=198&cmpid=ppc~gg~~~Exact&mctag=gg_goog_7904&s_kwcid=AL!3391!3!43562494175!!!g!95321086748!&ef_id=VIggagAAAHG0dcGg:20150430100549:s#cat-0

Collecting mine from Currys this afternoon
I know I have a smart phone but I hate the touch screen, most of the time I can't see what is on the screen, it is so sensitive I end up with more blury photos of my feet than anything else. With this I will be in control and can pop it in my pocket whatever the weather

Just thinking that myself John but as far as I can see The EB-K is the Back Model and the EB-S has the silver Trim, Currys & Jessops have it for £239 a bit more than Tina's Purchase but comes with a Five Year Guarantee so I may go with that.

If you don't mind the expense and the comparatively short reach (75mm though it can extend to 150mm or 300mm crop without invoking Digital Zoom), the LX100 might be just the ticket.
Bit out of my price range

Didn't realise it has a viewfinder ....could be another sale here. I have been looking for a quality compact with viewfinder and this looks just the ticket. Thanks Tina

Great results Tina I know you are going to enjoy your new acquisition
