  1. About 3~4 years ago I was sat at traffic-lights at Crystal Palace after visiting 'Dulwich Upper Wood', where I used to work.  My camera was on the passenger-seat and the sun-roof was open.....  I can resist anything except temptation....

  2. Mrs WereBo often steals my pics for her paper/card-crafts.....  It makes a good argument-killer though, when she's questioning how much time/money spent on taking them, I just inform her she'll lose her supplies of images otherwise grin.gif

I might argue the case for the print shop on that one, depending on size that graduated blue screen could be a pain to achieve a good result.

An exprerienced printer should be able to cope with a shallow graduation like that, if the separations are good enough - I often used to supply customers with their business-stationery with all sorts of graduated and/or feint print, when I worked at a high-street print-shop, some years ago.

  4. Many moons ago (earlyish 80's) a good chum (Nick) introduced me to 'Dungeons & Dragons' (the real game with loads of umpteen-sided dice and maps drawn on paper etc.).  After several games, Nick suggested we generate a 'real' character for me, so I ended up with a young mongrel puppy that had been scratched by a werewolf - Every month when the moon is darkest, it turned into a human-being! grin.gif

Still here?  OK, the next bit was to name this heroic character and, at that point the radio started playing Warren Zevon's 'Werewolves of London'.  Nick took 1 look at me, 1 look at the hair (I could sit on it, back then) and, as my name is Bo anyway, was inspired to suggest 'WereBo'.....

I liked it so much, it's been my online identity since I first went online, back in '97 Thank-you.gif

  5. OK, in no particular order....

    1} - I'm 21, with 41 years of practice now.......

2} - I've loved planes and flying since reading ALL the 'Biggles' book as a young pup, though I only took my 1st flight this year.

3} - I was a keen cyclist for 40 years, until I got seriously mashed off, 10 years ago - Lukily, I've had my driving-licence since 1978 and it's never had a point or endorsement on it.

4} - I far prefer animals to most people.

5} - I'd give a back-leg to move out of London to Somerset.

    6} - I survived 3 consecutive years at Glastonbury Festival 1983-1985.

7} - I have a lot of empathy, but very little patience.

8} - My only serious intolerance is bad manners and rudeness.

9} - I'm allergic to housework, it brings me out in bad moods......  (so's Mrs WereBo grin.gif)

10 - I now spend far too much time on my PC EvilSmiley.gif

    11} - I can't count.......

  6. So sorry to hear of your condition Korky, fingers are crossed it remains stable for you.  Getting out with the camera should, in reasonable theory, help with that, it's certainly helping with my few ailments.....

I'm amazed just how friendly this forum is, compared to some others I've been checking out recently.  I'm on 1 other forum (a techie-support one) that has this closeness and it's an absolute treasure - I've just finished having a lunatic spending-spree (car repaired & serviced, new camera and just built my new PC), so when the last bills are cleared, I'll have a better idea of what's left for Phil.

  7. Alol folks, WereBo here Allo.gif

Originally from Settle, in the Yorkshire Dales, I still prefer countryside (weilder the better) to town-living  ;-)

My favourite topics of potography are raptors (birds-of-prey), wildlife, landscapes/scenery and architecture, plus those things that leap out and say 'Photograph me'....  Anything except people-shots really.... grin.gif

Approx 2 weeks ago I upgraded from a Fuji-FinepixS2500HD to a Nikon-P610 and am still learning about the beastie, the Fuji is good but this Nikon is beyond superb... (I got into photography mid 90's with a Practika-BX20+umpteen lenses and related toys) - I look forward to learning more from the folks here, as well as contributing my tuppence-worth where possible.
