To be honest, once you've got a shot of the moon, you may be tempted to sit back and say "Well, ok. Done that. Now what?" The reason I say that, is that every picture of a full moon on its own, looks exactly the same! The best moon shots are those which incorporate something else as well, something that puts it in context. That's what I think, anyway.
Yeah, that's the thing - I would rather take photos of it in the context of something else, even just clouds, but I would like it to be at least clear rather than looking like a very close star!

That had to be really.
Great work and congrats!

That is some pretty sweet stuff right there.
Awesome shots.

Possibly yes. New MFT lens like the Panasonic are about 400 notes which is a bit breathtaking if I'm honest!!

Hmm, cool - thank you, I shall have a look and see what's about - tripod + timer are no problem, I think Panasonic have a compatible 300...
...I'll check that out.
Thanks again!

That is a stunning picture.
I know I'm only new on here but well done and that's a really inspirational sort of thing to read.

Hello all,
I have an Olympus E-PL5, and I was wondering if anyone on here would be able to give me any advice on a compatible lens for it that would enable me to take a clear - (not necessarily massive) - photo of the moon.
I currently have the 14-42mm lens - (plus wide angle adaptor), and am angling for the next lens up however the next one up is 40 - 150 as I recall and I'm fairly certain I need to have about a 400mm lens...?
The camera uses the Micro four thirds spec.
thanks!

Hi'ya and welcome Phon - enjoy your time with us
Thanks, and I already am!
I do have a rather stupid question though, I can't find anywhere how I add a signature...?
Oh and also, I don't seem to have a way of editing posts...
(Hence the double post)!
