  1. Thanks all I was wondering about it. I know the opportunities for some really good subjects abound in cemeteries and such, but obviously I didn't want to be stepping on anyone's toes either literally or metaphorically!
  2. Hi all, Just wondering, what is the etiquette for this? Is there one? Does one need permission? I've done some research and I can't find a clear cut explanation as to what I might need to do if I wanted to just take some general photographs. Any ideas? Thank you
  3. Hi Nick, welcome along! It's a very friendly forum and you can get some great advice from the others, enjoy!
  4. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year all...! :)

  5. Yeah, that's the thing - I would rather take photos of it in the context of something else, even just clouds, but I would like it to be at least clear rather than looking like a very close star!
  6. That had to be really. Great work and congrats!
  7. That is some pretty sweet stuff right there. Awesome shots.
  8. Possibly yes. New MFT lens like the Panasonic are about 400 notes which is a bit breathtaking if I'm honest!!
  9. Hmm, cool - thank you, I shall have a look and see what's about - tripod + timer are no problem, I think Panasonic have a compatible 300... ...I'll check that out. Thanks again!
  10. That is a stunning picture. I know I'm only new on here but well done and that's a really inspirational sort of thing to read.
  11. Hello all, I have an Olympus E-PL5, and I was wondering if anyone on here would be able to give me any advice on a compatible lens for it that would enable me to take a clear - (not necessarily massive) - photo of the moon. I currently have the 14-42mm lens - (plus wide angle adaptor), and am angling for the next lens up however the next one up is 40 - 150 as I recall and I'm fairly certain I need to have about a 400mm lens...? The camera uses the Micro four thirds spec. thanks!
  12. Thanks, and I already am! I do have a rather stupid question though, I can't find anywhere how I add a signature...? Oh and also, I don't seem to have a way of editing posts... (Hence the double post)!
  13. Hi ya all, and thank you for the warm welcome! Looking forward to getting into stuff. An enthusiastic amateur I guess I am...
  14. Thank you, "Phon" is my usual moniker in situations such as this...!
  15. Hi, New to the forums, proud owner of a new camera and exersizing a nascent love of photography. I'm looking forward to getting stuck-in and comparing notes and shots!
