  1. I can only take part of the credit, the majority is done by the software providers. I imagine their biggest nightmare is maintaining compatibility and feel with the ever changing trends in the wider world of technology, for which Google is the major culprit/instigator.
It becomes an issue for me when the forum software undergoes a major update (there was one 2 weeks ago), at which point our addons (the niceties that make us unique) become incompatible and need fixing.

However, your comments are what make all the effort worthwhile, it's good to know these things don't go unnoticed, so thank you! :yes

And Korky needn't worry; I liken hugging a Lancastr!an to the chaps at work trying to drag me into a conversation about the weekend's football, I'd rather poke a red hot needle in my eye!

  2. Ooo, now that's interesting, I've seen plenty of examples on the net but could never figure out how it was done.

I have a good few old images of the surrounding area, it would be interesting to create examples of then and now, do you know if you can embed them directly FB?

Only one question, what a profiler thingy?

I'm guessing he's referring to a means of calibrating your monitor (or I could be totally wrong :16_relieved:), I'm using the Spyder 3 (I believe the latest incarnation is the Spyder 5, there are many other manufacturers out there) and it's surprising how much difference they make. I always considered my monitors to be pretty close until I calibrated, then I realised just how blue they had been, now what I see on my screen is what comes back from the printers.
I also feel qualified to comment on how images appear here on the forum knowing my monitor is displaying true colours.
