Tried to do star trails before but I think we are under the flight path to Edinburgh Airport, this is a single exposure  @ 30sec   f5   iso1250. Think I will be having another go at this noe we have the darker evenings

Well done, Barbara. I can see the little trails.

You may get more chance  now it's getting colder.
I was going to have a go while we were in Wales where there was less light pollution, but as usual all my plans went haywire, and we have so much light pollution around here.

Looking forward to seeing some more of your Star shots.

I hope to get a cable release for crimbo, if I do I'll be having a go at this.

I like your attempt, did you use flash at the beginning?

Just taken at the bottom of the garden the tree is lit from the streetlight

This is a bit inspiring. It's something I'd like to have a go at, but even on the darkest of nights around here there's still light from the nearby towns and villages.

Bugs although the lighting is creeping in  from the street I am lucky to be surrounded by hills and on the edge of the town,  facing north here in daylight I just look onto the hills
