The now world famous Dark Hedges

Happened to have my camera in the car after golf this morning.  The Dark Hedges are across the road from my golf course so I took a couple of quick snaps.  Didn't have much time, and the place was fairly busy, but liked this one!!

There are some really great shots on various sites of this spot.  I fully intend to get a good colour version with some mist to make it look even spookier.

Any Game of Thrones fans will have seen it on there, but it's made it one of the busiest sights in the area over the past couple of years and that makes it hard to get a good shot sometimes.

Chris, its been on Game of Thrones and has visitors from all over. When I was there on Saturday there was a group there from Spain.  Its also in the running for Landmark of the year in the Countryside awards.

I probably just thought it was world famous because its in my wee country!!! Lol

I can't get the quote thing to work, so in reply to Phonantiphon!!

If its dry on Saturday I should get a chance to give it a try around dawn. Apparently its haunted so you never know what could appear in the shot!! Lol

i've seen photos of the dark hedges for years, long before game of thrones was on.  i like your version of the place, not quite as creepy as some, but still keeps the spirit of the place alive.  the b&w tones are gorgeous.

Thanks Cuilin.  There really are some fantastic photos of this place.  Hopefully I can get there one day when there's a bit of mist around!!  Should help with the spooky feel!!
