I remember it - top of the news. We were all worried about it.  I was 7.

I thought I was older than Judy? Those floods were the year I was born! (Or the year after...)

Edit: Just Googled - it WAS the year I was born.

I don't remember your birth though, Chris. It wasn't on the Home Service News 

(I keep well - most people think I'm ever so young ).

I do love these old flash backs to news items and whatever, especially with pics to back them up. Not much has been put up in Nostalgia recently but I think we oldies could get a few topics going.
