  1. Oh, thanks so much, Blackrox, what lovely views to look at while having my morning coffee The place looks just as beautiful and peaceful as I remember it. :thumbsu:
  2. Blackrox, you have got me soooo frustrated at the moment! No fault of yours, of course My first memories of Loch Lomond must go back to about 1950. My parents and I travelled up from Lancashire and stayed at a small hotel on the banks of the Loch. It was peaceful and lovely. The Hoteliers had a son, called Eric, who was my age, and we played together and paddled in the water together. I also remember that this was the first time I ever tasted freshly caught Salmon - yum! Still love it. Then, later, we came out to Oz and returned to UK in 1960. We had a caravan and toured all over UK for almost 12 months, and did return to Loch Lomond. I had a Kodak camera then, and I took a photo of the hotel - still there and looking good. Do you think I can find that photo!!!!! I have a small box of these old photos and I have obviously put them away somewhere so safe I can't find them! I can see the place clearly, in my mind, and it brings back lots of happy memories. Enjoy your time there - I'm envious :)

Great choice, Richard. Yes, the story absolutely makes it, Colin, thanks for sharing it!
  4. Went to see Dires Straits at a huge open air concert in '86 in Melbourne. It was fantastic!! Still listen to their music regularly - and turn things right up for Telegraph Road :)
  5. Fantastic experience - and photos, John. Don't know that I could do it, but I loved seeing it from your view. I especially like pictures that show any history, like the Castle and the Iron Age Fort - because we just don't have that depth here. Thanks for sharing!

Isn't it a shame that it's always 'the troublesome 3%' that stuff things up for everybody!

    DE-stress!

That does sound to be a very annoying 'muddle up', Leon - err, can you now rearrange some time to be 'me time'? Deep breaths.......
