    POTW 16 - 22/10/23.

    Congratulations, Mik!
  3. We were watching the sunset from Brighton pier, and this seagull came to watch it with us.
  4. This would have been my choice too, Cheryl. Well done, Homer!
  5. A few more: Line-up A Smoky Conversation More Smoke Was a white shirt the best choice?
  6. Heavy Horses Inspecting the Princess Pareidolia with squiffy eyes? Pee Power!
  7. It's my turn to choose POTW again. There were plenty of excellent images to choose from this week, but there was one that stood out for me, because it's a shot I've taken myself a few times and I've always found it hard to balance the darkness of the subject against the bright background light through the trees. On this occasion though, Martyn managed to catch the sun shining on the face of the "Mud Maid" at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, which has balanced out the light perfectly. Well done Martyn. ZZ Tractor

It was that or "Sharp Dressed Man"!
  9. I like the fact that it curled like that - it makes a much more interesting shape. It's a shame that meant the focus dropped away at the back - perhaps focus stacking would have helped?
  10. There's got to be a really bad joke to make about shooting a grouse, but don't worry - I won't do it!
  11. Good timing - the contrasting colours are very effective.
