  1. These raptors live around our waterways with their distinctive whistling call.
  2. That's interesting. I don't know if they are so devastating here. I'll find out.
  3. Orkney millhouse from my recent trip.
  4. Better without the humans, in my humble opinion. The AI generative fill is amazing. I‘ve just started exploring it.
  5. Thanks Paul. I wonder if this one is a vine weevil. I’ll try to find out.
  6. Thanks Rye and Paul. Serious question, Paul. What makes weevils pests? I know little about them.
  7. Very sharp. Well done, Mikbone What lens did you use? I know there's a way of checking this myself but cant remember how to do it.
  8. Better than the old tunnels that can be pretty rank
  9. Not a cliche to me. Is it a railway station?
  10. I like the abstraction of this.
  11. Great to see so many posts this week as you take advantage of the summer. I enjoyed Skullfunkery's set of seascapes and have chosen the last one of the Ogmor by Sea for POTW. I like the composition with the out of focus background, the textured rocks in the foreground and misty atmosphere achieved by the long exposure.
  12. Thats all pretty grim. great capture.
  13. Great to see you and your gang out in the winter landscape, Dierdre. Bet its been cold down your way.
  14. An excellent capture. Has me wondering why the spider is carrying the big egg around.
  15. I like the heron amongst its natural environment. Reminds me of a painting I bought in Bali decades ago depicting a heron amongst the tropical forest.
  16. thanks everyone. I tried to capture the amazing light of the sky with the vibrant colours of the carousel. It's not quite as I remembered it.. I tried to apply a motion blur filter to the carousel but didn't the wherewithal to select the carousel and not the surrounding fence.
  17. Excellent tonal range, Ryewolf.....even if it is a diesel.
  18. Interesting narrative with the cat in the nautical setting.
  19. Gee, those beaks are weapons. well captured, Hatter
  20. Excellent colours on the wasp and background.
  21. Great capture of the bee against the soft colours of the lavendar flowers.
  22. Agree with others preferring the last one. It has a calm vibe that the others dont have, for reasons I'm not sure of.
