Close up.  This bird was sat on the cliff at Bempton Cliffs and let us toggers get within a few feet of her.

Wow that was lucky … such a stunning raptor … always feels a privilege to see one of these in the natural world … lovely image of a fabulous bird .

Occasionally a moment happens  which is indelibly written into ones memory files… and having such a close encounter with such a majestic, iconic predator and record it  on camera in it’s natural environment, is one of those privileged moments … a snapshot in your life that you now have on your wall as evidence for all to see .. I really understand what a profound feeling that is Fogey …. Well done Sir.

Thank you Polly.  You have got it in one.  Of all the shots that I would call memorable that have recorded my journey through this fascinating hobby, this one takes the biscuit.

That's just the half of it.  The facing wall has a large 2.5' x 2' canvas print of the backlit, sunburst horse.

So my dining area is beginning to look like a gallery.

Well there’s nothing wrong with that…. What the hell are walls for anyway! They used to say “Walls have ears “. So I imagine having eyes 👁👁too seems fairly normal Fogey …
