Glastonbury Abbey.

Recommended Posts

The last of my Glastonbury shots. This is the long ruined abbey, dating back to the 8th century. It also has a dubious claim to be the burial site of King Arthur. Apparently somebody dug up some old bones in the 14th century and decided it was the noble king. Pretty doubtful though, DNA analysis was in its infancy in those days. Anyway, as ruins go it is pretty magnificent.

What a great set of ruins David ... You certainly haven't let the grass grow under your feet  since the end of most Covid restrictions ... You  seem to have covered more routes than the  proverbial Commercial traveller  !!

Bath and Wells Cathedral is my favourite after Lincoln ...look forward to some pics from you...
