THE SEA WITCH AND THE DRAGONFLY

Recommended Posts

For those other fans of using Vintage Lenses....

I decided to experiment with my vintage Russian HELIOS 58mm - F 2 yesterday..... using it wide open on subjects around the house and garden.

First off, are my...Folk-Art ....Sea Witches.... .fanciful Whirligigs , based upon Mermaids ..... I create them for fun .....I have used the Artefact Removal Tool in my iPad PIXELMATOR PHOTO software to remove the supporting rods, so it looks as if the Sea Witches are swimming in a dreamy sea.

The other subject, is a craftsman made brass - bouncy Dragonfly...acquired at one of the many craft events I worked at ..... here it is less than 8 inches from those books....the shallow DOF works really well.
