Another Grey Day

Recommended Posts

The last two or three iPhone versions have much better cameras don't  they ?....

It's 26 degrees here so, though a bit cooler that the 32 degrees we had most of the week , I'd give my eye teeth for a bit of what you've got there Beepy ....at least we had a storm and rain two nights ago... but it just made the next day feel like a Turkish bath!...

A  typical Beepy set showing a pic within a pic...and how it's done  ... # 1   is impressive in it's detail of the rock .....

It's  another  set showing  what a   great coastline you have regular access  to and I feel like I actually  know it myself after seeing so many aspects  of   your  local  landscape ...even though I haven't been there .

We've had three days of grey clouds, mist, mizzle and cool temperatures - I love living on the coast but hate it for the weather.

Computational photography is the way forward, just wish the camera brands would get it into their thick heads and start adding it to their systems. If I want to shoot a long exposure with my £1000+ Fujifilm I need to think about the time of day, the conditions, balance apertures, ND filters, ISO, and quite often take a guess at the shutter speed. With the phone I just tell it how long I want the exposure to be and regardless of how bright it is I get a result....for exposure times up to 9 seconds I don't even need a tripod.
