My original idea was to visit my 3 local heritage railways over 3 days and photograph 3 trains.... Alas the weather spoilt trip out to Embsay Steam Railway...

The images are:

1. United States of America Transportation Corp. Class S160 2-8-0 No. 5820 at Oakworth on the KWVR

2. BR Standard Class 4 mt 2-6-4T loco No 80097 at Rawtenstall on the ELR

3. Taff Vale Railway Class 02 0-6-2T No. 85 at Oxenhope on the KWVR

It was withdrawn from service in July 1965 and sold for scrap to Woodham Brothers, it was bought  on May 1985 by The Bury Steam Locomotive Company Limited, the restoration took some 35 years.

The final week, and it's a theme of Triptych

Snap, Twiddle, Post......

Not sure if we'll be doing another Project, we'll have to see what Lord Korkington has to say about starting another in January 2020.

If there was another 52 week project, it would run by calendar year?

How about a little half year challenge to get us through to 2020 I tried to suggest this before and didn't really get the point across properly so here goes again.

So a half year challenge starting around 1st July.  26 weeks there are 26 letters of the alphabet so each week photograph an item/subject beginning with a letter.

There would be a few challenging letters so maybe not to do it in order but say if in week 10 you saw a zebra walking down the high st, snap post and letter z is done or the ultimate challenge to try to do it in order.

There it is just an idea feel free to ridicule me at will.

I think that’s a great idea, SJR, especially the 6 mth challenge. Will miss the challenge otherwise.

That would be fun Simon. I am quite restricted atm and the weekly challenge and the weekly project at least give me a week to sort something out and still be involved, and the alphabet idea would call for a bit of thinking!
