FURRY HAT versions

This is another test up for observations and comments please.

The first is a crop, but left...as-shot

The second is the same, processed then sharpened.

The third, is the mono version given my usual treatment:

Here's an interesting experiment - go to full size, look for a good few seconds at the first two then using your arrow key quickly go to the third; the ladies in pink in the background are now wearing green!

I see very little difference between 1 and 2 (it was shot wide open, I think?). However I do see an increase in contrast on the main figure which has killed some of the fine detail in the hat and hair. So my verdict is - you didn't need to process 2, I think #1 gives you what you were after?

Thank you Chris......that green affect is caused by ...persistence of vision, I think, green being the opposite of red on the colour wheel.

I second two.....I'm certain I have them the wrong way round, the processed one is the first, so should have more detail in the hat.

I shot it at 5.6 so not wide open, because I used Aperture Priority, the camera chose the shutter speed,,leading to the movement blur of her legs.....this, I like.

Considering this was shot from the other side of a Main Street, I am really pleased with the lens performance.

I am looking forward to seeing what else it can do, on a pleasanter day.
