Well I have never seen a moth looking like it was laying on it's side asleep like that before Beepy ... I was almost sure you were going to reveal it was an "ex "  moth!!  Amazing on the large version ... I may have to buy  a Fuji like yours ... Love what you can do with it ...

Guten Tag, Mister Philip. I trust you are doing good this fine English day.

I am Frau Helga Knackermangler and I am the person who looks after Herr Korkskrew. I believe you may know me as Matron.

Well, Herr K is aware that I was once the premier photographer of petrol pumping stations in all of Bavaria and he has asked me to comment on your photographs as he’s had to be restrained yet again for urinating in the paper shredder.

Down to business……. I have studied your series of pictures very, very carefully. I have taken into consideration the lighting, the composition, the point of view, the post-processing and the overall feel of the images you create and I have come to the conclusion that they may be summed up with just three words……..

Absolute shi

Phil - Korky here, I’ve just been let out. Matron has had to rush away to deal with with an inmate who’s stuck an Argos catalogue down the sluice overflow, so I’ll finish off.

She was about to say shining examples, Phil. Shining examples. When she first saw your petrol pics, she started to weep quietly and whispered something in a strange German dialect that I didn’t fully understand, but it sounded like she was truly touched, Phil. Truly touched.

Korky, would you be so kind as to pass on my number to Matron Knackermangler? I would love to meet her, she sounds like a true kindred spirit, someone I can spend many hours travelling the country with shooting stations that are currently on my bucket list.
While I realise my images are quite special I'm sure she will have a wealth of knowledge that can only make me a stronger, more competent photographer of filling stations.

I must go and get my pic out the camera for  today ...

;) I had not seen the joke. :)

i was so focused on controlling the exposure to get an image straight out of camera and this was the result with a slight sharpening in ps.
