I have an interest in the local area, in particular how it has changed over the years, so I thought I'd set up a Farcebook page in an attempt to encourage others to post some older images and maybe a little reminiscing. Jees, what have I done?!? It's now approaching 1000 Likes, and all I'm getting are modern images! I'd promised myself to post one pic a day, unlike this thread they can be from the archives, but I'm running out, so I've been out this morning trying to replenish the stocks.

This is of the railway crossing that splits the town in 2, and grinds it to a halt for 10 minutes every time a train enters the station, which is every 15 minutes :stuart:

For anyone interested, although I appreciate it's only likely to appeal to locals, and possibly Fuzzy - Goole in Pictures

A photograph from todays walk along the coast and beach with Jasper - this time shot with the iPhone using StayFocused an app that shifts focus as it shoots consecutive files that you can then 'stack' together for an increased DoF. I had wanted it to get the entire scene sharp but the app is a bit flaky and kept crashing - though to be honest I quite like the result from the five files I did get from it.

They look so much better on my big machine, BP. I've been on the little 10 ins laptop today and all the images are so small :(

Some rose leaves - keeping the buds for new beginnings.
