The Topic  for the  challenge for  week  #8  is " SILHOUETTE (S).Entries  must have  been taken and uploaded between 18th July and Midnight on the 27th July  2015. Please state the date that the image was taken when entering  the competition.

Silhouette photography I find quite challenging ... the image should be crisp in outline  and black in colour against whatever light is used .... A perfect scenario for sunsets obviously  but test your creative and innovative juices  to challenge yourselves on this one ..even bugs  might look great in silhouette !:yes

I suggested this topic to Fuzzy and he told me to "go  for it "

An interesting article .... I hope it inspires...

The voting is now closed for Competition # 8 SILHOUETTES

Well done Geodar:goodjob: .... ...At last  a clear winner who romped home with 60% of the votes  in the Silhouette  competition . Many congratulations Geoff on the dramatic effect of the silhouetted lighthouse and shoreline against the sky and sea .

Thanks too go to all  of those who entered an image,...   to be judged by our peers but probably more importantly,  to challenge ourselves sometimes in areas we are not always familiar with.

Good luck with the next weekly competition everyone ......

Well done Geodar, a sure winner from the start. Apologies for my pathetic effort. I had to fake silhouette an image I took whilst away, as I didn't get the chance to do a specific one.

I will make amends in the kitchen comp however, this is my forte and if I don't pull at least 1 vote, I give in lol. I have 3 cracking shots just struggling with which to enter.

I'm sure I said well done and congrats, Geoff, but don't see it here so

You probably did. Unfortunately congrats were being given before voting had closed, possibly influencing other member's decisions, so the posts were deleted.
