  1. Sorry no thats notquite what I need but thanks for the link. Much appreciate the interest in my thread.
  2. Fuji, I cant find this kind of rack anywhere online
  3. Thanks Fuji for the well wishes and your knowledge from experience. Not sure yet when 1st one will be, but september I hope.
  4. I see what you are saying saying Colin and this had crossed my mind. If I have one of each image framed, this will show the buyer how it looks framed, then they can buy just the print and purchase their own frame later. Im guessing you mean using the mounts that go inside of the frame? I hadn't thought of that. I was originally only going to offer the prints but they look much more stunning framed. I bought some clip frames for £1.89 each and this holds the image safely and securely and looks a little more professional for dispaly purposes. I could use this idea along side the mounts. Thanks
  5. I have recently launched my website and started taking steps to sell some of my wall art. I am in the process of building up a decent stock in prep for craft fairs to try to sell my images that way. I have no idea how much stock to have to take along, and was wondering if anyone has done similar in the past and can advise me. I have an idea which of my images are the more popular, by which have sold best so far, so will take more of those to sell (I do limited edition prints), however I still want to maintain a decent selection. How many framed prints do you think I may need for my 1st craft fair? I am keeping my priced quite low, to atract sales. Thanks for reading this.
  6. Like the spectators at the tour de france (but that wasn't as dangerous obvioulsy as the plane), but one actually got hit and caused a competitor to come off his bike. People have no common sense at all at times.
  7. Wow Fugi, thatspretty serious stuff but they will do a great job and you will feel great once its healed. Best wishes and we will miss you whilst you are out of action.

  16. Our local rag runs a "Friday Photographer" section, where they feature a local photographer each Friday. I contacted them including some of my images and they said they were really interested and would do a feature on me. They ran a double page spread of my images this evening, including some very complimentary words and some info about me. They included my website address and I hope it leads to a few sales. They said I was a 'Real Artist' and added some 'class' to the Friday Photographer. I'm proud as my images look really good. It's a real boost to my confidence. Thought I would share my news.
  17. But what if a great shot presents itself and the required lens isnt there? It really depends if it's a family holiday or a travellers photo opportunity (only my opinion of course) I had a fair amount value wise of equipment stolen last summer from the boot of my car in Tenerife . Everything I posessed photography wise except my tripod which I has left in the hotel room. I was lucky to receive new for old on my household insurance and had everything replaced new for old within 2 weeks of returning home. So this is another thing to take into account. Is it insured?
  18. I really didn't expect to be flagged as 'hot' on here..though I understand it's only because there has been activity in my thread haha
  19. My spelling there was terrible, sorry!
  20. Ok.....As a seasoned traveller and a photographer, I would say.......1) Is it a family holiday with young children? If so your 18 - 55mm is enpugh. 2) What kind of images are you after? Memories or landscapes/wildlife? This would dictate what you take. 3) If you are a more matire (like me..) photographer, I take everything in case I miss a shot!!!! 4) Do you want night time images? If so, stability is importand and our monopod willbe an assett.I need more information from you to answer better. Sorry :-)
  21. Im feeling more and more at home here, very quickly.
  22. This is the 1st opportunity as a new member, to comment on POTW and I must say, if this is the standard, I need to post top notch images. A lovely macro, well deserved win.
  23. Quirky is good. I just recently left a forum as everone was rather set in there ways and kept ticking me off all the time for silly stuff. I had lots to offer the forum but I was knocked back at each turn.
  24. That won't take long, Im a chatterbox! Thanks for the update.
