  1. Hi Tomasz - Welcome to the forums Looking forward to seeing your work.
  2. We have one of the clearest and most convincing winners ever - well done Brian! Your turn to set a new theme.
  3. 13 entries, a good baker's dozen. Over to you now...
  4. Remember - this closes for entries midnight tomorrow (Friday).
  5. If you gather around a decent size computer screen and use some slideshow software (or just Preview on a Mac), the backlit nature of the screen reproduces the effect of transparencies quite well.
  6. Spooky story time. Last time I set "Fire" as a theme and halfway through the week I thought it was boring, and I had an idea for something better that no-one else would ever think of in a million years. If there was a "next time", I'd have something up my sleeve. Then along came Simon with Negative Space. "Wha-?" I thought. "The b*gger's read my mind!" Well actually he hadn't, not really, and now I have something of a quandary. My idea was NEGATIVE which was simply that. In other words, invert one of your images and let's see which one makes the best (photographic) negative, looking for shape, tone, humour, novelty, stuff like that. So after reflecting on it, I think it is radically different to Simon's theme and even though it sounds the same, it actually isn't. Not at all. So do go with this idea if it floats your boat. Remember - most image editors enable you to make a negative from your image: in Photoshop it's the "Invert" command. The competition closes midnight next Friday April 7th. (If this proves to be unpopular, I'll try to come up with something else).
  7. On the day Theresa May 'Roy Rogers' Article 50, console yourself with a defiant Scots lass in Luxembourg...
  8. See you Jimmy. Er, I mean "hi Alan". Welcome to the forums .
