  1. Another portrait shoot. This time though I did use a portable light. I also had in mind the type of edit I was looking for and it worked out and the mother loves it to bit's. Now I have to print then frame it!
  2. Thank you...vignettes are useful, but as you say, in subtle way's.
  3. Thank you...i can see why the bokeh can do that but also great to be able to allow subjects to become speperated from a busy background!
  4. Thanks...the bokeh from the Tamron 70-180 is damn goooood
  5. My son and his girlfriend came to my local town for a visit and so gave me an opportunity to try out my new tamron 70-180mm f/2.8 zoom... I am more then impressed with that lens, tack sharp and has a nice bokeh to boot!

    Woodlands

Went for a local walk to a big old woods and wanted to try out a new lens... When i got there, there seems to have been some tree clearing and has allowed some sky light to pour in and gave some trees fabulous lighting.
  7. These are great and some good strong tones
  8. Thank you...yes it really is a stunning area.
  9. It sure is and yes, it is used by wild swimmers
  10. I used a Mavic 3 drone
  11. A drone panoramic of a local view. The Calderdale south Pennines has some incredible scenery
  12. I had cycled past this area so many time from Littleborough but recently decided to take a walk with the camera and glad a I did. It was difficult trying to edit to try and get a happy monochrome edit, (took a few attempts!)
  13. What a stunning capture...front to back detail. Print, mount, frame and hang on the wall!
  14. Would love to go to this place and a great image and good exposure.
  15. A great set of images

Agree with the above comments but can't to think that a nice vignette might work?
  17. These are great but more drawn to the 2nd image because there is a good balance of exposure and isn't too busy in the background.
  18. Shot with a drone, it's great to be able to capture these sort of views from a much higher view!
  19. I now own a drone which has now given me a whole new landscape point of view. This area is very local and can be got to even on a bus route!
  20. This area is a very well known beauty spot and can be reached from various routes but the only time I've seen this view is by cycling up from a little village called Denshaw. Below is Marsden...
  21. A few weeks back I was invited out to search for this hidden area where wild swimmers go to. It's very local and is a fabulous little valley...
  22. Not been on here for some time but just had to look at the bigger picture of this stunning capture...
