Thank you Phil, and happy new year.  I have joined this forum as I have just inherited a camera and would like to start to take photographs of wildlife in my garden to start with...nothing to difficult!  I have a Nikon D3100 and would like to upgrade the lens, so any recommendations?  I will only be taking photographs in my garden.  Thanks in advance.
