I have a pair of sennheiser hd600's and there is a big difference between an £80 pair and a £300 pair. Lossless audio files rather than standard mp3's make a difference too.
  3. I did have my phone but I'd just finished a 14 hour night shift and didn't think to use it!
  4. Finished work quite late this morning and as I was driving home noticed the clouds turning slightly pink and thought this was going to be a nice sunrise, the camera and tripod were in the car so I drove to Saltburn parked up and and walked down tto he beach armed with my camera. 15 minutes later a spectacular sunrise bright fiery clouds, stunning, Turned the camera on all excited! And discovered I'd left the memory card in the laptop! Swearing followed! Note to self - remember the 6 p's perfect planning prevents pi** poor performance!

  6. If i had the 18-55 id go with the 50 or the 80 for the extra focal range.
  7. My Merry xmas present to me is a north face mountain 35 tent for when the weather gets truly horrid

  10. Interesting article, Really Fancy one of these tablets capable of running full versions of Lightroom and Photoshop. Interesting tether feature too. http://photography.tutsplus.com/tutorials/tethering-a-dslr-camera-to-a-microsoft-surface-pro-tablet-with-a-usb-cable--photo-13525
  11. Hi Bill and thankyou very much for the reply and the images. Id looked at the 10-22mm as i wanted an ultra wide lens for landscapes. Nice photos BIll and im going to go with the 10-22mm the 17-40 wasn't as wide as i ideally wanted but i thought if the quality was far superior id make do. Thanks BIll
  12. Ive been looking at wide lenses for a few days as im wanting to upgrade my 18-55 on my Canon 60d. Ideally i was thinking of an L series lens for the better image quality but i dont want a fisheye so i have been looking at a Canon ef 17-40 F4 L but on my 60d it will be roughly 28-65mm, Ive read loads of reviews some say its an excellent lens, some say its good on a full frame body and some say its mediocre on a modern APSC body. Does anybody use this lens on an APSC body and whats your opinion of it Am i wasting money buying a L series when i should just buy an ef-s lens Please help
  13. I'm looking around for a new lens at the moment and came across this site, thought some of you might be interested http://www.thelensdoctor.co.uk/index.html
