Nearly the end of the year and a great one it has been with some truly superb photography, posts full of fun and the meeting of members from across the globe - not bad for little ol' TIPF.

 

There are all sorts of members posting all sorts of photographic styles, we each have our own leanings and we each have our favourites.

One of the fun things about POTW is we have a panel of choosers who have a broad range of likes.

 

You know me - I like a good landscape or a quirky, yet simple image.

If it is well taken and sympathetically processed I'm going to be all over it like a rash.

 

This week I'm going with an observation shot, one of those things that some people will spot and some will walk past. Of the people that spot it a few will take a basic record shot, one or two will think for a moment and take a decent picture but just occasionally you get an actual photographer who can transform the mundane into the spectacular.

It is images like this that make me think about content and context little more, although rarely do I try and mimic them. But, have an effect on me they do !

I like the way that the sign looks like moulten metal, while the leaf looks so fragile.
