DRAMATIC ART

Recommended Posts

I met this very interesting young lady out and about with her parents at the market this afternoon.

I had to use all my charms to persuade her to pose for a moment, in the first shot she faced into shadow, but here she just turned into the light.....perfect!

Yes! I realise that her nose casts a shadow, but during Street Photography, I dont carry a reflector or use flash so you see her, as I saw her....Very Dramatic?

The lass works in a local theatre, I had guessed so:

Thank you folks,

But you might notice that I am really struggling to match what I produce on my desktop monitor, to look as dramatic on my iPad, the screen of which seems much brighter..

On my monitor it is much richer, and dramatic.....look closely in an iPad screen and you can see lots if my processing, this has now begun to mither me.

Any suggestions please?

Cheers!

P.S. Requesting portraits?

Just do it with a smile. ;-)

The iPad has a Retina display, but your PC won't have. That's the big difference. I went out today to shoot comparative pictures on my new camera and my old one, and although they are only 5 years apart, the LCD screens and what they display, might as well be from a different universe. I'm afraid you're highly unlikely to be able to calibrate the two, so I would use the iPad as a quality checker to see if you need to return to the edit on the computer.

Thank you again.....

I've been a bit stoooopid folks.........I messed with my monitor settings, in an effort to match it with the iPad results, the stupid settings menu appears via three out of sight, almost invisible anyway buttons on the bottom, right edge.

Fiddling with these, I somehow, made it jump to ...Super bright....or ......Dynamic light.....or something stupid, it now shines out like a Fairground ride.

I will do battle with it again today......I am hoping there is a factory setting.....a great lesson in........

.....if it 'ain't broke, don't fix it.......

It all began after I purchased my new CANON Pixma GM5550 wireless printer.........I can't get that to work wirelessly either, even though it finds my router, and I've successfully joined Canon Print......it is connected via cable currently, and working as it should, but not wirelessly.

It will sort itself out eventually, I hope.

You may have to put your wireless printer details in by hand. I had trouble with mine and then I got it working ok., but when I last wiped my desktop, I reinstalled by attaching the printer cable and it reads my SD cards a lot quicker.

I can still use it wirelessly from my tablet and net book.

Good luck with that! My new camera is supposed to connect to 'mobile devices' using WiFi. Problem is, I don't own any, and would love to be able to upload new pictures to my computer using its WiFi Network. Apparently, though that is theoretically possible, no-one I've read of has actually managed to get it to work. I'm left having to unscrew the EverReady case each time to access the SD card. :(

Thank you folks!

I've just REALISED that Ive put this portrait into the wrong forum.....

I must.confirm that the lass isn't a pet ........ ;-)

Perhaps a kind mod could move the posts to Portraits please?

Cheers!
