Araneus diadematus

Recommended Posts

Go to bed, or wake up to a spider. Taken at around 11pm on Wednesday night, this is a female orb spider/cross spider - Araneus diadematus. These spiders can range from dark brown to almost yellow. This one was orange - helping her to blend in no doubt with the plant leaves and the maybe even nearby house bricks...

WOW! Paul,

Seriously good macro work here, there isn't a dud in this set.......love spiders, fascinating creatures that help rid our houses of unwanted insects that could bite or spread disease.

FUJI

Thanks Fuji - she was a nice lady to work with too.  :)
