The highest of the dams in the Elan Valley,Wales.

 

Taken last January and converted with Photmatix...........hopefully no deliberation whether colour or not!

I really like the processing here, it adds to the drama of the place, you can almost hear all that water rushing over the overflow........your posts so far have been well thought out and crafted.

Love folk who are willing to stretch photographic boundaries in all areas.

A nice composition and a nice bit of HDR processing. Photomatix can be a bit harsh, but you seem to have got it right.

Thx both.....I usually bracket landscape shots to give me the choice of normal or hdr......this was taken on a real dull,grey day with hardly any detail in the sky,but the hdr has brought some out.

Nice use of HDR and a fine composition. Is that the reservoir that feeds Birmingham? If so, there's a little model of that dam in Cannon Hill Park, Edgbaston.

It's just that that tower and cupola look familiar somehow.

thats really lovely, looks almost like a drawing rather than a photo to me.  Not that there is anything wrong with that.
