The singing sands was on the TV a few weeks ago.
They didn't show enough of the scenery though.

Sorry for delayed response. Have been very busy.

I should have some good photos next year of Eigg. I 'm going there on a 5 day photo learning course next March. Dawn shots shouldn't be too painful at that time of year!

why are they called the singing sands ?

The sand granules squeak when moved by walking on them.

Singing is hardly descriptive but maybe there is a story in the name somewhere.
