Vertirama

Vertirama – same as a Panorama but moving the camera in a vertical direction instead of horizontally.

Never tried one before and I had to hand stitch 4 x photos to make this one. Did try Photomerge but it refuse to do anything, but I’m pleased with the result.

The picture could be better balanced but there are two covered grand pianos on the left hand side which would have spoilt the shot.

The windows at the top of the picture are in the wall immediately behind me.

Please view the 'large version'

Nikon D7000

Lens used is a Sigma 10 - 20mm

That's an interesting concept that works really well to give a rather odd view :)

Regarding the stitch software, would it be worth turning all the pictures on edge and then trying, in effect to fool the software into thinking it's a panorama?

Brilliant Colin. It took a minute for me to work it out.............but yes I got it in the and I think it's a great idea. I have tried panoramic but I either move to fast or to slow and the camera moans..

I have a strange feeling I have been to this place, just can't pin point it....where is it?

This is the Chapter House inside Lincoln cathedral Annie.

And this is one that hasn't really worked and I think because I should have included more of the floor, and as an excuse someone erected a whacking great stage in the Nave behind me, so I'll be going back again sometime.

If any of you are feeling creative you could try this kind of photography, then print and the curve a sheet of paper to give a strange 2d/3d look?
