Through The Square Window

Recommended Posts

We had a trip out to Wallington Hall for a pic-nic and an explore today and as we've been there a hundred times I though I'd make a little challenge out of the picture taking.

So - I only took the K30 and my 50mm with the intention of producing a series of square photographs.

The good thing about the Pentax 50mm is the bokeh tends to lean towards the weird which can make for a fun background.

Anyhoo - a few of the boys and a few random grabs:

There was an Easter Trail running with for the kids - once they had put together their explorer hats (well, once dad had put them together) they had to hunt out the clues with an egg as a prize.

Thomas decided his would look better without a rim.

Spring is well and truly springing:

Nice bit of textural contrast and the lens showing its fun side:

All shot on aperture priority at f5.6 or wider - the camera sorted the rest of the exposure while Lightroom 5 tweaked the files.

What a gorgeous set of shots BP. I love that dreamy tulip picture, I would have that one on my wall for sure.

Your eldest boy is growing into a hansom lad. Thomas is a nutter....he does make me laugh, such a character.
