I love my eye-fi!

Recommended Posts

This is not an ad,.. honestly I would just like to say how much I love my eye-fi card and the service that comes with it.

An eye -fi card is a WI-FI enabled memory card.

2 days ago I took the card out (i had to re install the software on my pc because I changed OS) The card broke . Was devistated.

I contacted their service center ad without any questions on how it broke or whatever they sent me a new card and it arrived 2 days later.
I may be able to fix the old one and use it as a spare.

I have one of the older Eye-Fi branded ones, its a Pro card so can create its own hotspot and work without available Wi-Fi. Means I can connect it to say my iPad on the top of a mountain....should I want to.

Only drawback is they are desperately slow so if you're working with RAW files its a bit of a pain.

They are handy in the D300s as I can get it to save RAW files to the CF card and small jpegs to the SD to bounce over to whichever device I'm using it with.

there is a camera checker on the website I think or send them an email. they are very quick at responding.

Is your camera equipped to use Eye-Fi cards, Mr W.
I would check it out with Bp before you go spending a lot of money.

EDIT: I found the camera checker:

You might find they will work but won't have a dedicated menu function for them. On my D300s I can turn the wireless bit of the card on and off to save the battery life (they do eat through batteries quicker when they're running) but I've tried it in all sorts of gear and it pretty much works on them all.
