WELL!

I went and done it..........................Upgraded my S/H HTC Trophy,  Windows 7 phone for the amazing....NOKIA LUMIA 1020, Windows 8 phone, the one with the 42mp camera.

I am still struggling to sync my contacts and to get emails working....having mislaid a P/W.

Got thoroughly fed up trying, so decided to see what the camera did within an hour of coming home with it and not having read any instructions:

This is a ....Straight from camera shot, no processing or cropping...just reduced from 3700? dpi down to 1024 for posting here..........Im very impressed....cant wait to have a play with all the camera settings:

Thats it, If you can do that with a phone there is no point in keeping a camera.

ROLF;-)

Well, I'm keeping my three cameras, because as good as it is, the phone isn't as quick on the draw.......that's not a complaint, but, when I switch on, I need to tap in my security access code and that prevents instant shooting.

I purchased the phone, because, I have had a very successful two years with a second hand Windows phone, I wanted to keep my apps etc.......choosing the one with the best camera was a no brainer for me.

I just need to look at a few tutorials on getting the best from it.

The manual controls look very interesting.......Take a look at the Nokia 1020 on YouTube if you are interested.

Why three cameras?...............Like most hobbies, photography just grows and grows......like Topsy........I love my large SONY and lenses.......my little LX5 packs into a pocket, and that recently purchased used micro four thirds.....was just too much of a bargain to miss......I can, have fun with my vintage M42 lenses.

So beware out there.......the camera bug can BITE YOU ;-)
