Not bad for a beginner May I suggest something different to the norm ? If you get down to ground level at say a round-about you can get some really good stuff, especially when HGV pass by (example below) or even an ambulance. 2nd shot is a tractor and trailer with a flashing light on the roof.

Weather was very changeable, blue sky one direction very grey the other. I prefer a little cloud cover as a backdrop, but yes the weather hasn't helped much lately.

All good I keep saying I'm going to drive down one day - if the rain ever stops! Did you take this one the viewing / spotters car park?

I use a Nikon D500 with a Sigma 150/600c. Setting is fairly irrelevant as I will tweak and adjust as I go along. I do shoot in RAW format on Manual +auto iso due to varying cloud cover.

I can assure you they are not double exposures, nothing more than moisture in the air at 1500ft

Oh wow Polly that is one superb shot of a male Kingfisher. If you need to make access easier for you to photograph, place a stick overhanging your pond and you may find they use that too.

Growing up not far from RAF Waddington in the late 50' and 60's the sound of the Avro Vulcans running their engines at night was the sound track of my youth. We also knew if we heard more than 4 go out at once there may be a chance we wouldn't see them return. Thankfully the Cold War years never came to that. Wonderful pictures of an iconic aircraft designed by Sir Roy Chadwick ( who also design the Avro Lancaster) which has so much history behind it. Thank You for showing them.

All good here Mr Monkey I've never been to Brize, it's good to see some heavy stuff for a change.

All taken at iso4000 or near to Andy.

No worries although as we had such a good time (and made quite a few sales) I think we will be there next year . On a different note ... This was our first time at this event and I thought the admission charge of £20 was a little high compared to other events ??
