I have the.......IMAGE RESIZER ......app on my iPad, it works a treat on any pic too large for posting......just uuse the slider to reduce the longest side to 1024 p or less click save and away you go.

I email pics to my iPad from both desktop and phone......havent dared try the wi-fi on my new Panasonic GX7 yet though.......I shoot RAW and prefer to process all of my pics unless from the phone.

Here you go, this was taken yesterday, it was so hot and humid most of these cattle were lying down, a sight not usually seen.

The pic was taken...on my NOKIA 1020 , cropped, then emailed to my iPad for reducing to TIPF posting dimensions using the ..........IMAGE RESIZER .....app .....after this it was posted direct from my iPad.

It looks like you need a separate app :

PhotoMetahen is the one they recommendto .

Thanks for reply.

Checked out the ap referred to. Only two reviews and they are very bad.

A workaround is to resize the photp in PS Touch then save the file then open in IPhoto (free ap ) to get info on file size. I could use IPhoto to edit but it only allows cropping but not resizing. And if after resizing the file size is stll too big the process has to be repeated.

I have a picture of White Coppice cricket ground which is 1000 x 1000 pixels and 634kb so I can't post it. Ideally I need an editing ap that allows resizing and info. on file size. Easy on my PC but it is not connected to the internet.

Anybody any ideas on a suitable ap for my IPad please?

Unfortunately I don't have an iPad. On a Mac there is an image app called Preview, where you can do very basic edits like Levels, Temperature, Hue, Saturation, Sharpness, Contrast etc, but it also lets you Crop, Resize, and Save As.. in another file format. If that's available for the iPad or, if not, Picasa is, either of them will do the job.
