Nice weather, the paraplanes are out.

I agree on this picture it is blurry, but I put it here anyway as someone suggested taking these on a tripod which totally confuses me!! how am I suppose to follow these with a tripod and keep setting it up? I am sure all I needed was a faster shutterspeed

If you want to follow things like this from a tripod, you'll probably need a gimbal mount (3-axis free movement, even better than a ball and grip mount).

A mount such as a tripod or even a monopod will give more stability than trying to hand-hold anyway, but you lose a bit of flexibility

I think I would have rotated the 2nd picture, seems a bit odd as it is??

Does the Tamron lens have VR? it's a little hard to judge without knowing the camera settings but 'upping' the iso might have helped increase the shutter speed?

I'm going to sound like a Nikon salesman again ...

ViewNX2 is your friend and you should have a CD in your camera box with it on, if not head over to Nikons web site and download a free copy

load it onto your pc and you'll find you can edit, crop, rotate, convert raw files and lots of other useful stuff - all at no charge.

and in case you missed a recent thread...
