Some of you will know about this area.  My other half bought me some sliders etc. for the tripod as a Christmas present so that I could explore some panoramas.  Six months on, I managed to get yesterday to see what I could come up with.. Very much a first attempt but I have tried to add some FG interest etc to get away from just a straight forward vista.  Comments welcome.  Eleven portrait images stitched in PS (more like 8-9 after cropping).  Worked in Raw but the resulting file was Massive.  Going to have to be jpg in future.

.....for the want of a better description.  See below.  Apparently you get a much truer pano if you rotate the camera around the front element of the lens you are using as opposed to swinging the camera by pivoting your body.  The L bracket allows me to mount the camera for portrait shots.  The long bit allows me to move the camera backwards and forwards to position the front element over the pivot point. The circular thingy allows me to rotate the camera on the tripod through pre determined segments ( in this case 15 degrees) and the last bit allows the camera to be moved from side to side so that it is centered over the slider bit. So in effect, when assembled on the tripod, I can adjust the camera mount in all three directions and swing it around the pivot point in fixed increments. ( I'm Sure they all have proper names).  These accessories are really aimed at macro but...............

Interesting piece of kit, I'm wondering how much more equipment I can physically carry with me

Thanks for the explanation, John. I read some articles online as well. I look forward to see some more of your photos using the kit.
