Didcot Railway Centre are in steam again.

Wednesdays they are running the 1897 0-4-0 ST "Trojan" which is just back from an overhaul.

A couple taken just after I arrived (EOS-3, FP4+)

And one in the station (Super Ikonta FP4+)

There's still the best part of 3 rolls to be processed, two colour rolls that I've sent off to the lab (one in each camera), and one B/W that I've not quite finished.

That's an interesting looking steam engine... mind you Didcot would be a very long journey to visit. I feel like photographed the ELR and KWVR to death over the years. I'm hoping to go and visit the North York Moors Railway fairly soon.....

Round here, Didcot is just about the only show going. There are a few other heritage lines around but they mostly only run diesel shunters.

I don't go very often as it's only possible to see the trains by paying for entry, and there's not much space for them to stretch their wheels – not so bad for a little dockland engine like Trojan, but for the express engines it's a bit like tigers in the old sort of zoo.

Maybe you'll get a visit from "Lady of Legend" at one of your accessible lines, she has been at Severn Valley the last few weeks.
