There’s a strange optical illusion going on in this image for me Cheryl ... on the one hand , the grasses in the front of the rocks give me the impression that these rocks are  just a couple of feet high and that your point of view is taken from quite a low position..... then when I look again  , I could be looking over an edge and down at these rocks and they could be enormous ! It’s quite hard to be sure  as I have nothing really that I can recognise, like a tree or a person to give perspective to those rocks .. I’m fascinated now to know ..am I looking at a few large stones in the foreground of a landscape or at some monumental sized rock formations that dwarf a person...??????? 
After googling Mt  Egbert  I can see these look like giant granite rock formations.... but it still messes with my head ...

Interesting question, Polly. The rocks are 3-4 metres high, I guess. I squatted to a low camera angle so maybe that’s what caused your sense of an optical illusion.

Thanks Cheryl ... I found it really hard to gauge their size without too much to compare them to ... at one stage I thought they were maybe 30 or 40 feet high  ...weird eh ...
