Been re editing a few of my shots from 2012, taken with a Canon 7D.  It's really interesting to note how different the detail and tones are taken with the 7D against the shots I take these days with a 5Div.

Also, my editing skills were terrible back then 😃

What an amazing structure.  Google tells me this is a Roman aqueduct - does it still carry water or is it just a tourist attraction?

I love the sense of depth in the first image and the people in the second image certainly gives this edifice perspective.

Also a castle and a cathedral.  Well worth a visit, methinks.

Yes, it was a great place, sadly we were only there for a short time.  We went to the castle but didn't have time to go in.

It is said that the aqueduct was built by the Romans with no cement, and if so I wouldn't fancy working in the shops underneath it

This was part of our trip to Santiago De Compostella, Lugo, Pontevedra, Ourense & Toledo ... Spain is a wonderful place if you get away from the costas

That is so impressive Strav... I  am amazed  that  I haven't ever seen that  before .... and as for no mortar ... looking at it it closely it seems believable !!

My  question is ....where the hell were you standing to get that first view !?

Two  super  images  ....

I'd be surprised at that, the Romans were very good at cement and concrete, some of their methods, particularly for underwater structures, are only now being rediscovered.

It’s interesting to compare photos taken a decade ago and notice how much we’ve improved in the processing dept. I cringe when I see some of mine.

Absolutely.  I found a print from around 2008 which had "winner, advanced section" on a sticker on the back of it from when I was a member of a photography club in Spain.  Ive come to the conclusion that the judges must have been blind as in my eyes it is dire!
