Great reflections there Denis...I wonder if birds understand what a reflection is  when they see themselves flying past  windows or landing on still,reflective water. Does a gull ever say to itself, " Whoa .....  that's a bird just like me ...and it's heading straight at me "...

If my back window is anything to go by, birds simply think a reflection is something they can fly into.

One can understand it when they see  a big expanse of sky can't you .... Pigeons are so  dumb and they always seem to do the day after the window cleaner has been .... obviously  when they are so clean they can't tell the difference twixt the real thing and a reflection .....
