Dug up on our back garden recently.... both of my lads are over 50.... it must have been one of their toys.....

Interesting corrosion..... ?

Another study through the borrowed Olympus 60-2.8 macro lens...

Thank you all.....

im sure that most gardens contain hidden treasures like this one......it could be fun, to borrow a detector...or...to get a local detectorist to do your garden.... this is the best time of year.... turf replaces easily and seamlessly.

Or just keep an eye open when planting or any other digging operation. I've found inter alia numerous spoons, a toy mini in rather better condition than that one and a toy horse.

Interesting find, Fuji.

I have dug up all sorts of odd things in my garden from its 150 year history, (old for an Australian garden); glass marbles, an axe head, a brass button from a soldier’s uniform, a rusty spanner. I’ve never thought to photograph them but might next time.
