Skies from photoshop

Paul

Recommended Posts

I posted a while back about Photoshop having a sky replacement feature.

Today I found another image to "manipulate" however I only did the sky and a bit of localised darkening to try and shadow down a small section. For a full on edit, that would require hours of work especially on the puddles and whites, but this took 20 seconds to do...

Scroll slowly to look at the original before viewing the cheat!

That is really good Paul..I must be one of the few who have not got, or even know how to use Photoshop ! You have really made this image stand out, and the light in  the sky and clouds looks really cool.

 Envious!

I decided long ago I couldnt afford the program and tried its free rival GIMP, but honestly I cant get my head around things like this so glad I didnt pay the the adobe software . I am a very slow learner at things..a bit of a dunderhead really :)

I also don't use or have Photoshop, so I also am a dunderhead - a word I've not heard used for quite a few years

That's why I use Affinity Photo.  They have an excellent series of soundbite tutorials made specifically for Dunderheads.

I have been messing about with this feature too but have not been comfortable  with superimposing someone else's images onto my own shots. However, you can also use the tool to transplant your own sky images which I very much prefer. I am now in the process of building up a file of spectacular skies.

I also have a sky library.
