Yep, I have a weird obsession with the damn things, they stride across the landscape like a strange troop of metal soldiers carrying cables on their shoulders. They ruin many a landcape photograph, but stand underneath them on a wild stormy night and they sing wonderful strange songs as the wind rushes through the latticework and wires.

And sometimes they really appeal to me in an arty way...

Shouldnt have eaten those mushrooms I found :).....

I know exactly what you mean Denis ... I have quite a few pics taken specifically to show the domination they can have over the landscape.... a bit like wind turbines . Sometimes they can have an enigmatic beauty .... I would have like to see  the base  of the pylon  just to ground it  but  looks a very moody dramatic sky  Denis ...sort of war of the  worlds feel to it .

I can get under most of them on the land I walk, and I have done what you suggested a couple of times...
