I got in touch with a fencing contractor some time ago, about putting a fence in my new front garden so I could use the space. It has been a while, mainly due to restrictions, but then unexpectedly they turned up yesterday morning.

7 Guys, all working, digging up lawn where the fence has to fit, smashing my brick letter box and part of my driveway. They did a great job, laid out boundaries then a concrete truck came and filled in everything and inserted the fence posts.

Stage 1 finished and this is how they left it:

They have just been back and levelled out all the soil, removed the wooden borders and the tape. Now all I need is the heritage style fencing wire to arrive. Just a tad busy but will be nice when finished and I can sit in the garden with Kelly & Brodie!

Gosh Dee ... that was months ago when you first mentioned getting fencing done .... I bet that will make a big difference to your doggy mates having that extra freedom too...  look forward to seeing the final outcome ... and  of course the canine approval😉

Clicks K&B could not go out there yesterday to give it the tick of approval because I would have then had about 30 doggie paw prints on the concrete!

Yes there is going to be a solar powered remote control sliding gate which will slide between the two poles, and I will put up a picture when all done.

Don't know if they are going to be back today, but should be finished soon.

  • 2 weeks later...

Fencing contractors came this morning - 4 of them worked really hard and got the fence and remote panel solar powered gate, and a nice new letterbox all installed before the rain headed our way. There have already been a couple of nice comments from passers by, so I think it has worked well in style and colour. Now I can utilise my front garden and so can Kelly & Brodie - that is when the rain has gone!

Two shots to show you and #2 is pretty much the same spot I did the previous picture from.
