Just been taking a stroll down memory lane, looking at some photographs I took in an area that might not be on everyone's radar - Washington State, USA. These were taken 2011 in the Cascade Mountains and in Olympia National Park using a fairly modest compact camera.

Much as I would like to play the intrepid back country explorer I was never more than a few yards away from my parked car.

The last shot was actually taken from the car park of a service area on Interstate 90!

If it’s more than 500 yards from the car, it isn’t photogenic. Edward Weston
