Situated in the Welsh Marches  in Herefordshire  the house stands in 70 acres of  fabulous gardens   and have been  looked  after by four generations of the BANKS  family over the past 120  years since the house  was built in  1896. When I as there the tea rooms were open  but  due to Covid 19  they are closed now  but you can still take picnics in as there is  seating all around the gardens ...

I think I  know what you mean Den .... I nearly posted it in colour  to try  to show off the strange tiling at top two  floors of the house   but after a lot  of playing about with conversion of the colours  I thought a monochrome   seemed more balanced  overall...  Hereis a colour version that  maybe shows the terracotta pantiles  better though ....

That's a place I have never been to...maybe I should as it's not a million miles from me. It looks great in colour, I never take B&W images as I like to take shots the way my eyes see things and thank goodness I don't see things in B&W only.
